Bryn Pharma is a privately held pharmaceutical company founded by patients who are personally affected by anaphylaxis. In addition to improving epinephrine delivery systems, Bryn is committed to improving access to emergency medical treatment for all patients at risk.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who has a proven track record of sustained success to lead our U.S. Market Access capability in preparation for the launch of a novel asset into the emergency epinephrine space.

This role will be one of the earliest organizational hires and will play a key role in establishing the overall company, product value story, as well as the Go to Market brand strategy, inclusive of pricing, contracting and channel/distribution strategies.  This individual will need to identify and recruit top talent, as well as participate in the creation of critical resources necessary to be successful.

Expertise, experience and relationships with Commercial and Medicaid payers and PBMs will be critical as these are key segments of our business.  This leader should also have a keen understanding of product distribution options as they will be responsible for both direct and indirect channels within the Trade function. 

Post-launch this individual will also be responsible for establishing ways of working with field sales to ensure effective push and pull through and the continued management of GTNs.

The VP/SVP, U.S. Market Access will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and work closely with other Senior Leaders within the organization including the CEO, CFO, and COO.

For this role you will need

  • 15+ years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology industry with primary role experience in US Market Access leadership positions
  • Account Management leadership experience (critical)
  • Experience with National Healthplans and PBMs (critical)
  • Product launch market access experience (critical)
  • Prior experience leading as an operational budget holder with vendor management experience
  • In-depth understanding of pricing, contracting, health care systems, payer trends/strategies and market access pathways in the U.S. is required.
  • Solid understanding of the commercial, regulatory, and legal environment in the pharmaceutical industry and demonstrated integrity and ethics on work-related compliance considerations is required.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, ability to scenario plan, craft strategic options, prioritize and creative problem solve beyond the scope of traditional industry frameworks and practices is required.
  • Strong negotiation and collaboration skills to engage with a range of stakeholders
  • Knowledge around Out of Pocket costs and Co-pay assistance
  • Lead partnership with various internal and external stakeholders; lead and design channel specific distribution models and collaborate on supportive pricing and service programs required to execute various delivery models.
  • Must be a passionate and transparent leader with communication skills to facilitate collaboration amongst multiple stakeholders – collaborates with authenticity and positive energy.
  • Proven track record of authentic leadership and followership
  • Proven track record identifying product advantages in the context of market requirements and turning them into impactful value propositions
  • Prior experience working in a small specialty pharma business is preferred but NOT required.
